As little as possible: your mailbox address, an optional hashed password, and your messages while they exist. We never store raw IP addresses — abuse-prevention logs use salted hashes only — and passwords and verification codes are never written to logs. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

Using a disposable address for sign-ups and verification is legal in most countries. What matters is how you use it — using temp mail for harassment, fraud, or breaking a service's terms is on you, not on the tool.

Temporary inboxes are, by design, temporary. Forgotten mailboxes are cleaned automatically, and an address you have not used in a long while may simply be gone. When that happens, just generate a new one — it takes a second.
